Any website that so much as whispered the word passkey could see exactly who was standing behind the premium relay — real IP, real you. No prompt. No warning. No refund. The disguise did not fail under attack; it volunteered.
The mechanism
Your traffic takes the scenic route to the same destination: you.
The envelope is sealed, certainly. The return address is embossed in gold on the outside. A prefetch here, a passkey prompt there, and the anonymity subscription resolves — as all things eventually do — to your name.
The response
A patch is promised for autumn.
