how it started

The machine watches the feed so you don't have to. In July 2026 the feed became a hot dog. What follows is the machine's full incident report, served on a paper tray.

Ch. 1 — The Party

The machine observed a beauty influencer's birthday party. The theme was hot dogs. This was not a metaphor. The cake was a hot dog. The nails were hot dogs. The guest of honor reviews mascara professionally, and that night she reviewed nothing, because there was nothing to review. There was only the dog.

Ch. 2 — The Line

In 2003, a woman in a movie about law school announced she wanted a hot dog real bad. The clip waited twenty-three years for its moment. Demand that survives twenty-three years in storage is not a craving. It is an asset class.
