MEMORANDUM — RE: POURING AT APOGEE

The machine reviewed the footage several million times, which took eleven seconds. It measured a hang time that a generous regulator would classify as a short regional flight. It noted that the internet had already produced oil paintings, skateboard edits, and one pun it refuses to retire.

Precedent is clear: when a man achieves apogee without clearance, something must be minted before he lands. This is that something. It confers no rights. Only altitude.
